OTR/earthmover tyres

Amarket segment that has seen its share of ups and downs in recent years is OTR tyres. Following the heady early years of the new century when manufacturers scrambled to lift production or jump onto the OTR tyre bandwagon, the financial crisis of 2008 saw global sales sharply drop, which in turn led to cuts in production.
Now the market for OTR tyres is once again building up a head of steam and manufacturers report growing demand. During this time of rising optimism within the segment, Tyres & Accessories is pleased to present its 2011 OTR/earthmover tyre feature; you can find it in your July issue.

Automechanika Middle East review

Automechanika Middle East took part at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on June 7 – 9, 2011, welcoming a record 17,421 trade visitors from more than 120 countries as well as boasting record exhibitor numbers.
The largest trade fair ever held for the region’s automotive aftermarket included visitors from Middle-East markets in particular, with Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India and Kuwait the next five most strongly represented countries after the UAE. Dubai has become a logistics hub for spare parts and accessories in particular, with the sector boosted by 11 per cent growth in 2011's first quarter. Tyres & Accessories was in attendence and will report on this increasingly important show in the July issue.
